What is a Dosh in Kundli?
So, what exactly is a Kundli Dosh? Well, it is nothing but an unfavorable arrangement of planets in your birth chart. A Birth chart or a Janam Kundali is a chart representing the positioning of the planets at the time of your birth. For an accurate Kundli, along with your date & time of birth, the place of birth is required.
With that birth chart, we can analyse the good times and tough times that you are likely to face in your life. A dosha is also a result of that analysis, as they are defined by certain planets and their certain positions in your birth chart.
Although many types of yoga and horoscope defects have been discussed in astrology, some defects have been discussed more and whose prevention has been emphasized. Because according to my belief life is almost ruined due to these defects. Let us know about these defects.
Types Of Kundali Dosha
Many types of Kundali dosha defects are described in ancient astrology texts. The commonly found and significant Kundli Doshas are as follows:
Kaalsarp Dosha:
Caused of Dosha: Placement of Planets Between Rahu & Ketu
People get upset just by hearing the name of Kalsarp Dosh, but if you have Kalsarp Dosh in your Kundli then it needs to be understood, not to be upset. Rahu and Ketu arrive together in the horoscope of Kalsarp Dosha.
Apart from this, if the seven major planets Rahu and Ketu are inside the smoke of the planet, then also all the person’s horoscope has Kalsarp Dosh. Due to this defect, there is more struggle in life. Again and again, the work gets spoiled while being made.
Mangal Dosha:
Caused of Dosha: Placement of Mars in Specific Houses
In Vedic astrology, Mangal Dosha is counted among the dangerous doshas. This fault becomes the cause of tension in the relationship. When there is Mars in the first, fourth, seventh, eighth, or twelfth house in the horoscope, then Manglik Dosha is created. This defect is considered inauspicious for marriage.
It is very important for a successful happy harmonious life that there should not be Mangal Dosha in the affairs of both the life partners. If there is Mangal Dosha in one’s horoscope, the check effect is visible in relations after marriage.
Kendradhipati Dosh:
Caused of Dosha: Benefic planets ruling kendra houses (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th)
Whenever the zodiac sign of an auspicious planet is in the center, then its Kendradhipati Dosh is imposed. Auspicious planets Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, and Moon. Out of these, the defect caused by Jupiter and Mercury is considered more serious and effective. The first, fourth, seventh, and tenth are Kendra houses. After this, the defect of Venus and Moon is formed. Proper dosha is applicable only to the auspicious planets i.e. Jupiter, Mercury, Moon, and Venus. It does not apply to planets like Saturn, Mars, and Sun.
Due to this dosha, a person may face problems related to a career such as job loss, problems in business, problems related to studies, loss of education, etc.
Pitra Dosh:
Caused of Dosha: The Placement of Sun/Moon concerning Rahu/Ketu
Usually, most people know about this defect. For any person whose ancestors are not happy, this defect is formed in his horoscope. Every year in Pitru Paksha, by not performing Shradh of ancestors, not participating in Shradh Karma, and not doing worship for the peace of the souls of our ancestors, this dosha prevails and any kind of problems arise in a person’s life. Earning crores can be done.
Apart from this, when there is a conjunction of the Sun with Rahu or a conjunction of the Sun with Ketu in a person’s horoscope, then Pitra Dosh is also formed in such a situation. Due to this defect, growth stops in life. Such people either do not have a job or if they are bisexual then very low-paid. Such people start losing money.
Guru Chandala Dosha:
Caused of Dosha: Placement of Jupiter with Rahu/Ketu
One of the biggest negative dosha is the ‘Guru-Chandala’ Dosha. If Rahu Jupiter is together in the horoscope then it becomes a defect. This defect is formed anywhere in the horoscope, which always leads to loss. If Guru-Chandal Dosh is not remedied on time, then all the auspicious yogas of the cycle are dissolved. Often the character of a person becomes weak due to having this defect. Due to this yoga, there is a possibility of a person’s digestive system, liver problems, and serious diseases. Such people spend money extravagantly or accidently and do not care much about their future.
Gandmool Dosh:
Caused of Dosha: Nakshatras Ruled by Mercury and Ketu
A little different from the aforementioned Doshas, Gandmool Dosha is defined by the Nakshatra or the Birth Star you were born in. It happens when the native is born in the Nakshatras ruled by Ketu and Mercury. Almost every fifth person in the world suffers from this Dosha as it is effective for 6 out of 27 Nakshatras.
The Nakshatras under these planets are Ashwin, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyestha, Moola, and Revati. If one is born in these Nakshatras, the Gandmool Dosha is effective. The most notable effects of this Dosha would be the misfortune experienced by the closest family members of the native, especially the parents.
Thank You!
