Nirjala Ekadashi is also known as Pandava Ekadashi and Bhimseni Ekadashi or Bhima Ekadashi. It is believed that by observing Ekadashi fast, the wishes of the person are fulfilled.

There are two Ekadashi fasts every month, one in Shukla Paksha and one in Krishna Paksha. It is said that during this fast the devotees do not consume food or water. Ekadashi fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, hence worshiping Shri Hari on this day is considered extremely beneficial. It is believed that by observing this fast, a person gets freedom from all sins and after enjoying all the pleasures, finally attains salvation.

When should Ekadashi fast be started?

According to astrologers, Ekadashi fast should be started from Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Margashirsha month. This Ekadashi is called Utpana Ekadashi. According to religious beliefs, on this day itself Lord Vishnu had received blessings from Mata Ekadashi and Mata had described his fast as worshipable. However, apart from this, Ekadashi fast can also be started in the months of Chaitra, Baisakh and Magh. Astrologers believe that the rise of Jupiter and Venus should be kept in mind while starting the fast.

– Ekadashi Tithi will start on June 17 at 04:43 AM and Ekadashi Tithi will end on June 18, 2024 at 06:24 AM.

Nirjala Ekadashi fast breaking time:

The fast will be broken on 19 June 2024. The time of breaking the fast will be from 05:23 am to 07:28 am. The time of ending Dwadashi Tithi on the day of Paran is 07.28 am.
